Tuesday Tip: Creating Card Bases in a Snap!

Happy Tuesday!
Do you like to create your own A2 card bases? I sure do!
Today I want to share a quick tip on speeding up the process just a bit. I do this with an entire pack of thick Whisper White card stock to make sure my supply doesn't run out unexpectedly.

You'll only need 4 tools for this little project: your Simply Scored board & stylus, your Stampin' Trimmer, a bone folder (optional), and Whisper White thick 8 1/2" X 11" card stock.

Here's what you'll do:
Put a sheet of card stock into your Simple Scored board. If you put it on the long, 11" edge, score it at 5 1/2". If you put it in on the short, 8 1/2" edge, score it at 4 1/4".  In case you're wondering, you are scoring at the half-way point of the sheet of card stock. (I like to have most of my bases scored at 5 1/2" with just a few of the other, but it's really just a personal preference situation.)

Take your sheet to your Stampin' Trimmer. If you scored it on the 11" side, you'll want to put it in the trimmer on the 8 1/2" side and score at 4 1/4". If you scored on the 8 1/2" side, you"ll want to put the sheet into the Trimmer on the 11" and score at 5 1/2".

Now, take out your 2 sheets and fold on their score lines. Voila`! 2 card bases with minimal effort!

If you need a visual - or you really like kittens - here's a video explaining it a little better.

This is an easy downtime project for days like today when it's raining and "blah" outside. Leave me a comment below if this helps you at all - or just to say hi!

Have the best day ever my friends!
